John Oliver Hodges crashed his motorcycle once, and broke a lot of bones, but survived. His first collection of short stories, The Love Box, won the Tartt First Fiction Award; and he is the author of War of the Crazies, a novella, and some photo collections with titles such as Girlcrazy, Night Spiders, and Squares. His stories are appearing this year in The Texas Review, Near to the Knuckle and Bull, and his debut novel, Quizzleboon, is coming out from Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing.
